It's Never Too Late!

Many times, it happens that we make a resolution.

Most of the times it happens that we breakup with that resolution in some time.

Only few times it happens that we stick to the resolution for a "feeling proud" length of time.

But then all of a sudden one time it happens that we have to part away with the resolution, with the routine that we have built up with so much effort. And then, we think that we are not worthy to continue the resolution anymore.

A long time has passed. Maybe we were not worthy of carrying out the resolution in the first place.

But that is not true.

Even a day seems like so many years.

So, next time it happens that you take a break from your resolution. It is better to pick up where you left off, instead of breaking up forever.

Here is what I learned while driving to office the other day. I left for my office, but I was not feeling really good that day, so I was driving very slowly. I could see all the other cars and bike overtaking me, but I was just not in the mood to drive any faster. It almost seemed like I was going backwards due to all the heavy traffic overtaking me so quickly. But I knew that I am going forward. This is when it hit me. When you are travelling for your destination, it does not matter at what speed you are going, what matters is that you keep moving in that direction. Sometimes in life, we feel like we are going so slow that others, our friends, relatives, colleagues etc. are moving ahead so fast in life that it almost seem as if we are going backwards. A problem is settled does not mean it's solved.

 There is a norm in startup valuation, where a startup is judged based on the problem that it is attempting to solve. It is called "Solution with no problem." That is to say, a startup is trying to solve a problem that is non-existent in the real market. But, our experience have pointed out an exception to this grade. A problem should not be treated to be non-existent if the people have simply accepted the problem as it is for lack of a solution. This happens for example when due to lack of technology or resources people simply accepts the problem to be unsolvable and continues to live with it. But technological advancements can still try to solve such problems. During such times this cannot be said that startup is trying to solve a problem that is non-existent.
